ABOUT

My Story

My journey in sports began with gymnastics, track & field. From competing in state championships to becoming a level 10 gymnast and college athlete, I know the challenges athletes face firsthand. After sustaining a Lisfranc injury my junior year of high school, I gained a deeper understanding of how mental fitness plays a pivotal role in overcoming setbacks. Though this injury temporarily derailed my path, I was determined to continue as an athlete. Eventually, I earned the opportunity to compete as a college gymnast at SUNY Cortland. But returning to gymnastics after my injury was not just a physical challenge—it was a mental battle. I struggled to trust my foot, and in turn, questioned my abilities. What had once been instinctual now felt uncertain, and the joy I once found in my sport was overshadowed by self-doubt. It was through this experience that I unknowingly began applying mental fitness techniques, which helped me rebuild my confidence, resilience, and trust in myself. These tools allowed me to move forward, not only as an athlete but also as a person. My experiences inspired me to create Flex Mental Fitness. Here, I combine my experience and education to help athletes unlock their full potential mentally and physically. Just as physical fitness requires consistent effort and practice, mental fitness requires ongoing training and the right tools to strengthen the mind, regulate emotions, and achieve personal goals. Mental fitness is the foundation of my business because it equips athletes with strategies to thrive during their athletic journey and beyond.

My Approach

At Flex Mental Fitness, my approach is deeply rooted in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) a method that shifts the focus from problems to solutions. Instead of fixating on set backs, I guide athletes to identify their goals, envision their ideal selves, and develop actionable plans to achieve them. Whether athletes are competing, recovering, or preparing for life after sports, mental fitness gives them the tools to rise to any challenge.

Mission and Vision

My mission at Flex Mental Fitness is to help athletes achieve peak performance by focusing on mental resilience, mindset growth, and emotional regulation. We aim to revolutionize how athletes approach their mental game, making mental fitness as integral as physical training.
